self

Minor White once said “all photographs are self-portraits." That's true. These ones are literally me, though.

little miracles

In my series titled Little Miracles I pose and play with products meant to make some parts of my body smaller, other sections bigger, another chunk higher up, and most areas tighter. These cheap, quick fixes are based in little science, but are still purchased in the pursuit of perfection. Plump lipped, big browed, skinny faced, flat tummied, thigh gapped, thick assed, perfection.
I flaunt my fluctuating state of mind as I participate in each beauty ritual and operate the tools of perfection. The viewer is able to witness my maddening battle between a desperation to transform into what others expect of my body, and my bliss in accepting my body as it is. Using this contrast, I highlight the absurdity of a culture that expects every body to conform to a singular ideal.

animals

Animals are literally the best part of life, so here’s a bunch of pictures I took of them.

consumer

In my series titled “Consumer” I’m exploring something I’ve witnessed in not only others around me but in myself: gluttony. Using my own body as the subject, adorned with an excess of food, I create images with an intensely grotesque beauty. My aim is to make my viewer feel as I have; disgusted but unable to look away.

fashion & beauty

Pictures of people with clothes and/or makeup on!

video

Because sometimes one frame just isn't enough.

life in plastic

In my series titled Life in Plastic, I tackle one of the world’s most famous bossy bitches: Barbie. In these works I deconstruct both the doll’s physical form and the complexities of my relationship with her. This goes far beyond the recurring narrative of realistic body standards. Instead, I focus on my former friendship with the blonde and how she shaped my perception of beauty, femininity, and identity.

gifs

That weird in-between photos and videos.

random art shit

None of this makes sense! Ahhh!

color film

Title says it all.

bw film

Black & white film photos.

people

Portraits from a variety of smaller projects.

music

I like music, but I don't make music. Instead I take pictures of the people who do.

forgotten

In my series of work titled Forgotten I focused on the concept of abandonment in an emotional and physical sense.

This series was created in 2015-2016, my senior year in high school. It represents who I was during that time. Though my work has evolved beyond it, Forgotten was my first cohesive series, and as long as it has a place in my heart it will have a place in my portfolio.
